Big Mountain is an American reggae band that originated in San Diego, California, in 1986. They initially performed under the name Rainbow Warriors before adopting the name Big Mountain in 1991. The band’s music features a blend of reggae with pop influences, creating a unique and widely appealing sound. Their breakthrough came with the release of their cover of Peter Frampton’s “Baby, I Love Your Way” in 1994. This hit single soared to the top of the charts, reaching No. 6 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 in the UK, cementing their place in the music industry.

Following the success of their hit single, Big Mountain released the album “Unity” in 1994, which sold over a million copies worldwide. They have performed at prestigious events such as the Reggae Sunsplash festivals in Jamaica.  Big Mountain continues to enjoy a loyal fanbase and contributes to the reggae genre with their distinctive music and energetic performances.
